Registrations
Registrations can be performed in this same web site. All the details on how to register and pay are included in section “Registration”. The prices for those living outside Uruguay are: US$ 30 (thirty US Dollars) until August 6 included and US$ 40 (forty US Dollars) from August 7 through September 3.
Accommodations
We are presently negotiating several offers with interesting discounts for the accommodation of the runners and their partners in Punta del Este and Maldonado. These will be informed in the section “Accommodations” as they are confirmed.
Kit delivery
The kits will be delivered to the runners, on Saturday, September 5, from 10:00 to 21:30, in the Campus Municipal de Maldonado (Maldonado Municipality Campus). It consists of the following:
- Runners number
- Electronic chip
- Marathon official T-shirt
- A bag for your personal stuff before the start.
- A tag to stick into the bag with your runner number
- A ticket for the “pasta party”
- A copy of the Marathon rules and marathon route map
- Other surprises
The following documentation will be requested in exchange for the kit:
- Identification Document.
- Medical certification stating there are no impediments for running a marathon.
- The PayPal confirmation e-mail if that payment system was used or the receipt if the registration fee was paid to any of our official agents (only valid for Argentina and Brazil).
Pasta Party
The traditional Pasta Party will take place from 20:30 to 22:00 hs, on Saturday September 5, at the Maldonado Municipality Campus gymnasium. For those who have never participated in one, it is the previous dinner to the Marathon, to which all the runners are invited. It is a, yes, that is correct, it is a PASTA!!! buffet dinner. All those who have been registered will be able to participate showing the corresponding ticket included in the kit. Companions are welcome if they buy a ticket where the kits were handed.
Start and finish
The start and the finish of the Marathon will be in Román Guerra Street between Juan Ledesma and 3 de Febrero, in front of the Maldonado Municipality.
Start Services
There will be chemical toilets for the athletes in the start. Also, there will be a place for the personal effects of the runners (bear in mind that it will probably be very cold the morning of September 6 at 8 am and you will therefore be wearing jogging, anorak, gloves, scarf, hat…). All these you will have to hand inside the bag you received with the kit, tagged accordingly. Your runner number will be written in it. You will receive your bag at the finish upon presentation of your runner number.
Route Services
There will be water stations in Kms 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and at the finish. Also, there will be at least two food stations with fruit in kms 17.5 and 32.5, and isotonic drink stations which location has not been defined yet. Different groups of runners will be in charge of the animation along the route. There will be Mobile Emergency service all along the race and an aid station with specialized personnel, at the finish.
Medals
There will be souvenir medals for all the athletes who complete the Marathon in less than 6 hours. |
